Last night was the worst night of my life. My boyfriend got in a car accident late at night, where a surprised driver rear-ended him after a sudden break and my boyfriend's car lost control and flipped over several times, though thankfully landed upright. His car is destroyed but thankfully, and most importantly, he's alive and well. He got treated at the hospital for injuries and burns, and though his ankle is sprained, he's fine. He was released around 5 AM central time. The whole time I was extremely worried and hoping everything turned out okay.
I'm so grateful he's all right but I'm still in the huge shock that it could have been soooo much worse and thank God it wasn't. The guy that hit him was an 18 year old guy, who thankfully is okay as well. This whole experience, even if I was not the one in the car, has left me with a severe realisation that life is precious and can end out of nowhere, so please treasure those in your life, and always take driving seriously, especially when you're young. Wear a seatbelt and be very vigilant and cautious. This whole ordeal has had me do something I seldom do, and that's pray.
